Aathal Dinosaur Museum

The museum is located in a historical building, a former textile factory. In 1992, the minerals and fossils company Siber + Siber AG acquired part of it and installed a dinosaur exhibition in it. In addition, the brothers H.J. and E. Siber received the excavation rights for the legendary Howe Dinosaur Quarry in Wyoming in the US. Today, some 7 original skeletons - including skulls - of known dinosaurs dating back to the Jurassic time can be admired in the Dinosaur Museum Aathal. It is a collection that is unique in the world today! In addition to the focus of the Siber brothers' own excavations, the preparation of found bones and the theme dinosaurs, the museum also features other primeval contemporaries: annually changing special exhibits are integrated into the existing exhibition, complementing it with special themes and objects such as pterosaurians and marine saurians, a fossil wale, a marine crocodile, the world's largest turtle, ammonites, trilobites, etc. And last but not least, for the convenience of its visitors, the museum has a cafeteria, a museum gift shop and free parking!
