The parlor on the Spiegelgasse [Mirror Lane] at the center of Zürich's Old Town is the perfect place to slip into the era of the 1920s and 1930s and get a feeling of times gone by. Original clothing and accessories from the roaring 20s and 30s help revive the atmosphere and excitement of a time of cultural change. Joya Schaetzle and Marianna Sax have opened the doors to their private collection to the public. Their display includes: clothing, lingerie, accessories such as handbags, shoes, hats, muffs, sequined chokers, cigarette cases and powder boxes. A huge collection of literature on the fashion and zeitgeist of the 20s and 30s will enthrall not only aficionados of the extravagant avant-garde fashion and haute couture of the Art Deco period.
